WOSCZYNA EARNS ALL-AMERICAN HONORS IN LACROSSE

Old Dominion women's lacrosse sophomore Suzanne Wosczyna of Phoenixville, Pa., was named a Second Team Brine IWLCA/USL All-American.

Wosczyna is the first Old Dominion All-American since Carly Brown earned honorable mention honors in 1997.

Wosczyna adds to her already impressive list of post-season accolades including First Team All-South Region, First Team All-CAA, and CAA All-Tournament honors. She became just the 13th Division I women's lacrosse player to record over 100 points in a season. Wosczyna collected 103 points in 2002 and currently ranks third on the Old Dominion all-time points leaders list with 163 career points. She set Old Dominion's single season assist mark with 47 and in just her second season with the Lady Monarchs became the all-time assist leader with 59 to date.

Nationally, Wosczyna leads the country in points (5.72) and assists (2.61) per game. Additionally she ranks 12th in goals per game (3.11) and groundballs per game (3.44).

The Old Dominion women's lacrosse team finished one of its most successful seasons to date capturing a school record 13 wins. The Lady Monarchs finished the year 13-5 overall and 6-2 in the CAA and were ranked 13th in the final IWLCA Poll.
