TWO HONORED AS LACROSSE ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICANS
Seniors Kendra Finger of Boyertown, Pa., and Brooke Thomas of Whiteford, Md., were named Academic All-Americans by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Association.
To be eligible for the IWLCA Academic All-American honor, student-athletes must possess a minimum 3.2 grade point average as a junior or senior and be a starter or significant reserve.
Thomas is a two-time Academic All-American posting a 3.67 GPA in early childhood education. A two-time co-captain, Thomas closed the year with a team-second best 52 groundballs and 19 caused turnovers. Additionally the defender was named to the All-CAA second team for the second consecutive year.
Finger earned her first Academic All-American award earning a 3.89 GPA in health and physical education. A second team All-CAA selection, Finger served as an important part of the transition unit in the midfield. She collected 29 groundballs, ranking fourth on the squad, and controlled the draw on 22 occasions, ranking third on the team.
