NOTE CARDS ON SALE AT UNIVERSITY BOOKSTORE

Note cards featuring the photomicrographs of oceanographers Lisa Drake and Martina Doblin are now on sale at the Old Dominion University Bookstore in Webb University Center.

The sets of 10 cards, featuring a variety of colorful images of microscopic creatures and a brief description of each, are $10 and are also available at the Virginia Marine Science Museum in Virginia Beach, the Mariners' Museum in Newport News and Cristallo Art and Glass Studio in Williamsburg.

The project was financed through a Faculty Research Award and proceeds will help repay the funds used to print the cards, said Lisa D. Murray of the university's development office.

The cards were produced with the support of the Old Dominion Research Foundation in conjunction with the departments of Art and Ocean, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, the College of Arts and Letters and the College of Sciences.
