BRYAN PORTER WINS DISABILITY SERVICES AWARD
Bryan E. Porter, associate professor of psychology, was honored as the Office of Disability Services Outstanding Teacher of the Year during an April 23 recognition ceremony.
One of 14 faculty nominated for the award by Old Dominion students with disabilities, Porter received a plaque and a check for $100. He was cited by the students for his accessibility, effective teaching methods, willingness to assist, openness to accommodations and consideration of students' individual needs.
This is the fourth year for the award, which honors an instructor "who exemplifies in an outstanding manner those teaching characteristics which promote success for students with disabilities."
