ADVISING PUBLICATION WINS NATIONAL AWARD
Old Dominion University's advising publication, "Old Dominion University 2001 Advising Retreat Information Packet," has been selected for an Outstanding Publication Certificate of Merit in the adviser category as part of the 2002 National Academic Advising Association's National Awards Program.
This publication, created by the university's Advising Coordinators Committee, was nominated for the award by Sandra Waters, director of continuance and undergraduate services.
Old Dominion's publication was one of three to be honored with an award in the adviser category in nationwide competition this year. Publications were judged on the basis of content, presentation, clarity and creativity.
The award will be presented during the annual NACADA National Conference in Salt Lake City in October.
