INAUGURAL LADY MONARCH PRIDE GOLF TOURNAMENT IS MAY 1
If you couldn't make it to West Lafayette, Ind., or Milwaukee to watch the Lady Monarchs in the NCAA tournament, here's an opportunity to rub shoulders with the players and coaches at another postseason event.
Members of the university community can join Wendy Larry, her coaching staff and players, and ESPN 1310's Tony Mercurio at the first Lady Monarch Pride Golf Tournament and dinner May 1 at Bide-A-Wee Golf Course. The event is open to individuals and foursomes; coach Larry will play one hole of golf with each foursome.
The cost of $100 per person and $400 per foursome covers greens fees, cart, driving range balls, dinner and beverages. Proceeds support the women's basketball program.
The tournament begins at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start, followed by dinner at 6 p.m. The event also will feature contests, raffles and a golf club swap. Prizes include gift certificates for dinner, movies and weekend retreats.
