FREE HEALTH FAIR HELD SATURDAY IN LAMBERT'S POINT
The Lambert's Point Health Promotion Center, a partnership between Old Dominion University's College of Health Sciences and the Lambert's Point community, will provide a free health fair on Saturday, April 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Norfolk United Methodist Church, 2729 Bowdens Ferry Road.
In addition to free health screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose and oral health, Norfolk firefighters and Sparky the firedog will be on hand to provide free smoke detectors and helmets. The department's "burning house" also will be on site so people can participate in fire simulations to learn about the importance of developing escape routes and the need for smoke detectors.
All services are free and open to the public.
