BOARD OF VISITORS MEETS TODAY

Old Dominion University's Board of Visitors will meet today in Webb University Center.

From 9 a.m. to noon, the Academic Affairs Committee will meet in the James/Lynnhaven Room while the Administration and Finance Committee meets in the York/Potomac Room.

The full board will meet at 1:15 p.m. in the Board of Visitors Room.

In other board news, Thursday Gov. Mark Warner announced the appointment of Frank Batten Jr., chairman and CEO of Norfolk-based Landmark Communications Inc., to the board. Batten's father, Frank Batten Sr., was the first rector of Old Dominion's Board of Visitors.
