LADY MONARCH PEP RALLY PLANNED FOR THURSDAY

The Old Dominion community is invited to a pep rally at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 21 to give the Lady Monarchs basketball team a rousing send-off as they head to Milwaukee, Wis., for the NCAA Sweet 16.

The rally will be held in the parking lot in front of the Old Dominion Field House as the ladies board their bus.

The seventh-seeded Lady Monarchs will take on third-seeded Kansas State in the Mideast Regional Semifinal of the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The game will be aired live on ESPN2.

The winner will advance to the regional final against either top-seeded (and undefeated) University of Connecticut or fourth-seeded Penn State. The winner of that game will head to the Final Four.
