FACULTY INVITED TO 'PLAGIARISM AND PIZZA' WORKSHOP

"Plagiarism and Pizza" is the title of a faculty workshop scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 4, at Perry Library.

Focusing on the detection and prevention of plagiarism, the workshop will include demonstrations of the ease of finding papers on the Web and ways to track down the original sources of those papers. It will also provide a wealth of suggestions for preventing plagiarism, garnered from Old Dominion faculty and professors at other institutions. A discussion period will allow faculty to voice concerns and share successful strategies.

Participants who would like to eat pizza should arrive at 12:15 p.m. (sponsored by Friends of the Library) and should notify Cynthia Swaine by Monday, April 1: cswaine@odu.edu. Brown bag lunches are also welcome; beverages will be provided.

The workshop will be held room 151 of Perry Library. For more information contact Swaine at 683-4185 (press 7 for voice mail).
