AMBASSADOR OF CYPRUS TO SHARE VISION MARCH 26
Erato Kozakou-Marcoullis, Cyprus' ambassador to the United States, will deliver a lecture on "Cyprus in the 21st Century" at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 26 in the North Cafeteria of Webb University Center. A reception will follow at 5:30 p.m.
Sponsored by Odyssey: The Hellenic Cultural Studies Program of Old Dominion University and the Office of the President, the lecture and reception are both free and open to the public.
A 1972 law school graduate of the University of Athens, Greece, Marcoullis also earned degrees in public law and political science in 1975. She completed her doctorate in sociology and political science at the University of Helsinki, Finland, in 1979. Fluent in Greek and English, she also speaks some French, Finnish and Russian.
Marcoullis has served as director of the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and previously was ambassador to Sweden with concurrent accreditation to Finland, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
She also currently serves as her country's ambassador to Brazil.
