RELAY FOR LIFE SEEKS TEAMS TO SIGN UP FOR APRIL 5-6 EVENT

Members of the university community who missed the Jan. 29 kickoff meeting but are interested in forming a team for Old Dominion's fourth annual Relay for Life are urged to contact relay chair Timothy Laynor at tjlaynor@odu.edu.

The April 5-6 event, sponsored by the American Cancer Society, is dedicated to cancer patients, their families and friends. Its purpose is to raise funds for research, increase awareness of cancer control and honor those who have battled this disease.

In its first three years, the Old Dominion relay has raised nearly $250,000 for the fight against cancer.
