FORMER LADY MONARCH STANDOUT TO COACH WOMEN'S WORLD TEAM
Former Old Dominion Lady Monarch standout Anne Donovan has been selected as an assistant coach for the U.S. team that will play in the 2002 Women's World Championship.
She will assist Van Chancellor, who led the Houston Comets to four consecutive WNBA titles. The championship will be played in China this September.
An Old Dominion player from 1979-83, Donovan played on two national championship teams and is in the Old Dominion Sports Hall of Fame. She currently coaches the WNBA's Charlotte Sting.
