'SCHOLARSHIP DAYS' ARE FEB. 9-10
Students who have applied for scholarships to attend Old Dominion University will compete for aid during the university's Scholarship Days Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 9-10.
Students with 3.25 grade point averages and 1,100 on the SAT were invited to attend either date. By attending, each student is guaranteed a one-time $1,500 scholarship and is competing for up to a four-year, full-ride scholarship.
The university annually awards more than 350 merit-based scholarships worth $6.5 million based on students' admissions applications. To be eligible, students in December 2001 submitted applications including their high school transcripts and standardized test scores. Their community involvement plays a part in the determination process.
