UNDER SECRETARY TO ADDRESS VIDEO CONFERENCE TODAY

Old Dominion University and The World Affairs Council of Greater Hampton Roads will host a national town meeting on "The War on Terrorism" at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, in Old Dominion's Gornto TELETECHNET Center.

The conference, one of ten nationwide broadcasts, features Marc Grossman, former U.S. ambassador to Turkey and current U.S. undersecretary of state for political affairs.

Grossman, a Foreign Service Officer since 1976, has served in many capacities. Most recently, he was director general of the foreign service and director of human resources, from June 2000 to February 2001, and assistant secretary of state for European affairs from August 1997 to May 2000.

The event is sponsored by the U.S. State Department and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and will include a nationwide question and answer session.
