OLD DOMINION UNIVERSITY'S CREO TO HONOR VICTIMS OF SEPT. 11 ATTACKS WITH DEC. 3 CONCERT

Creo, a contemporary music ensemble in residence at Old Dominion University, will honor victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks with an ecumenical program at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 3 in Chandler Recital Hall, Diehn Fine and Performing Arts Center, on the campus of Old Dominion University. The concert is free and open to the public, but seating is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Creo, under the direction of Andrey Kasparov, assistant professor of music, will present a program of late 20th century music by Tsippi Flischer, Peteris Vasks, Stefan Wolpe and Ton de Leeuw with vocal settings in Arabic, Hebrew and English.

This spring Creo will host Argentine composer Alicia Tersain. Recent performances have included four concerts at the Society of Composers Inc. Conference and the American premiers of numerous works for the Music from Serbia project. This fall Creo performed several concerts at the University of Iowa in Iowa City.

This series is made possible by a grant from the F. Ludwig Diehn Music Fund of the Norfolk Foundation. For more information call 683-3020.
