HADDAD NAMED WOMAN OF THE YEAR

Mary C. Henninger Haddad, a graduate of Old Dominion University and current member of the Board of Visitors, was honored as the 2001 Woman of the Year by the Hampton Roads Youth Center.

Haddad is president of The Haddad Foundation, a nonprofit organization that works to improve the quality of the lives of children throughout the world by assisting other nonprofit organizations with fund-raising, community and civic networking, as well as donating funds.

She and her husband, Louis, live in Suffolk with their four children Samuel Francis, David Charles, Diana Marie-Rose and Elinore-Grace.

Haddad has served on the Board of Visitors since 1997 and is chair of the academic affairs committee.
