DANCE PROGRAM INSTRUCTOR HONORED

Amanda Kinzer, an assistant professor who joined the dance program this semester, will be featured on the cover of a booklet on K-12 dance education published by the National Dance Association. The cover will use a photograph of Kinzer dancing.

Another member of the dance program, Gulnara Salimova, the accompanist for the ballet and modern dance classes, has been invited to play for the International Ballet Competition to be held next June in Jackson, Miss. Salimova, who has accompanied the university classes since the fall of 2000, is one of only eight U.S. pianists who were invited to play for the competition.
