SMITH NAMED EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH FOUNDATION

Ruth Smith has been named executive director of Old Dominion University's Research Foundation.

Smith received her bachelor of science degree in business administration from Franklin University, and her Juris Doctor from Capital University Law and Graduate Center. Her most recent position was administrative director of the Research Business Office at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Before that, she was with the Ohio State University Research Foundation for 13 years.
