NEW PENINSULA CENTER TO HAVE GRAND OPENING
Students attending the Peninsula Higher Education Center have witnessed the development of the new Peninsula Workforce Development Center firsthand. When classes began Aug. 25, Old Dominion was the first of the building's tenants to open for business. However, the other partners will be officially at home when the facility has its grand opening at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18.
Located on Butler Farm Road in Hampton, the two-story, 92,000 square-foot facility also houses Thomas Nelson
Community College's workforce training programs as well as the employment programs of the Virginia Employment
Commission, in addition to the Old Dominion center.
