KBM MANAGEMENT PRESIDENT TO ADDRESS OLD DOMINION STUDENTS
Vanessa Flynn, president of KBM Management Inc., will be the next speaker for Old Dominion University's Landmark Executive-in-Residence Speaker Series Tuesday, Nov. 6.
Sponsored by the College of Business and Public Administration, the series brings accomplished business leaders to campus to share firsthand experience with students. Flynn will speak at 12:30 p.m. in the Diehn Fine and Performing Art Center's Chandler Recital Hall. Seating is on a first-come, first- served basis.
Flynn brought to her position over 10 years of experience in the health care industry. She is responsible for the overall management of the fully licensed employee benefit and risk-management consulting firm, as well as, providing consulting services.
After gaining her clinical nursing experience at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md., she became the coordinator for gerio-psychiatric health care at Levindale Geriatric Center. Flynn's risk management expertise came from her position as director of quality improvement and risk management at A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital.
Flynn earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Old Dominion.
Next semester's series will start on Jan. 22 with Paul Hirschbeil Jr., of Eden Capital.
