GROUNDS DIVISION WINS QUALITY LANDSCAPE AWARD
The Office of Facilities Management's Grounds Division was recognized recently by the Norfolk Beautification Committee with its highest honor, a Quality Landscape award, for the appearance of the Old Dominion campus. Old Dominion was one of only five properties to be so honored in the 2001 awards program.
Frank Girucky, supervisor of the in-house landscape operation, accepted the engraved award on behalf of the university at the Norfolk Environmental Commission's awards ceremony Oct. 13.
Patricia King is the university's grounds superintendent and landscape designer.
