GOVERNOR FREES FUNDS FOR ENGINEERING & COMPUTATIONAL SCIENCES BUILDING
As part of his plan to boost Virginia's economy, Gov. James Gilmore announced Thursday that he will release funds for Old Dominion University to construct a long-planned Engineering and Computational Sciences Building.
The 83,000 square foot, four-story building will bring the university's programs and support services in engineering and computational sciences under one roof. In addition, the facility will house new laboratory and support spaces.
President Roseann Runte and Vice President for Institutional Advancement John R. Broderick both expressed their appreciation to members of Old Dominion's Board of Visitors and to members of the General Assembly for their support on this important project.
