BOOK CLUB TO DISCUSS QUINN'S "THE MENTOR: A MEMOIR OF FRIENDSHIP AND GAY IDENTITY"

Jay Quinn, author of "The Mentor: A Memoir of Friendship and Gay Identity," will be on hand for the next Multicultural Book Club program Friday, Oct. 26.

Quinn will be joined by Eugene McAvoy, instructor of English, for a discussion of the book, which looks at the social, religious and emotional aspects of what it's like to grow up as a contemporary Southern gay man. Copies of the book are available in the University Bookstore.

The program begins at 7 p.m. in the Potomac/York River Rooms in Webb Center.
