WHITEHURST FEATURED ON "WITH GOOD REASON" SEPT. 10
G. William Whitehurst, Kaufman Lecturer in Public Affairs at Old Dominion University, will discuss changes in American military strategy on the statewide radio program "With Good Reason" Monday, Sept 10.
He will be joined by retired Gen. Anthony Zinni of Virginia Military Institute to weigh in on Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld's review of the status of the U.S. military.
Whitehurst served as a U.S. congressman from 1969 to 1987. During his tenure, he served on the House Armed Services Committee, Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and Ethics Committee, and was a member and delegate of the North Atlantic Assembly. Additionally, he was a news analyst for several television news stations and published "Diary of a Congressman" vol. I and II and "ABSCAM and Beyond."
The weekly show is hosted by Sarah McConnell and can be heard locally Mondays at 1:30 p.m. on WHRV-FM
