PERRY LIBRARY PROVIDES RESOURCES AND SERVICES FOR FACULTY

Perry Library recently announced its menu of resources and services available to faculty and staff this fall. Among them are:

-- Online Faculty Book Order Request Form - Faculty may use this form to request books to be purchased by the library: http://www.lib.odu.edu/forms/facreqfrm.shtml. For new journal subscription requests, contact Pamela Morgan at pmorgan@odu.edu or 683-4148.

-- Online Publishers Catalogs - To obtain the information needed to place book orders, check out the available catalogs at http://www.library.vanderbilt.edu/law/acqs/acqs.html.

-- New Item E-mail Notification Service - This service provides a weekly e-mail of new library materials matched to the personal-interest profile set up by the user. Notification will cover a variety of materials, including books, videos, CDs, LPs, CD-ROMs, online databases and microforms. To start the service, access http://www.lib.odu.edu/forms/newbreq-create.shtml.

-- Periodical Title Database - This database lists more than 24,000 periodical titles that are either owned by the University Libraries or are available electronically. The periodical title database is available at http://libstaff.lib.odu.edu/forms/sql-periodicals/periodicalsearch.shtml.

-- Reserves and E-reserves Service - Reserve materials are provided in print at the Perry Library reserve desk and distance learning sites or via the Web. On-campus faculty are asked to submit a reserve request form and materials to be placed on reserve five days before the date the materials are assigned. Submissions for electronic reserves will be processed as
