HOW CAN YOU HELP VICTIMS OF TUESDAY'S ATTACK?

Members of the Old Dominion community looking to help victims of Tuesday's terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, D.C., can do so by giving blood or money, and by showing their pride in America.

Ribbons are being given out at the Campus Information Center in Webb Center Lobby.

Alpha Phi Sorority will accept donations in the South Mall and Front Lobby of Webb Center from 12:30-1:30 p.m. today. All money collected is being donated to United Way's Relief Fund. Ribbons will be available at the donation tables as well.

Blood drives will be held at the following locations:

Thursday, Sept. 13 Hampton Coliseum, noon - 6 p.m.;
Friday, Sept. 14 Norfolk Scope, noon - 6 p.m.; and
Saturday, Sept. 15 Chesapeake General Hospital, noon - 6 p.m.

Financial contributions can be made by calling 446-7743.

The Red Cross has activated its Aviation Incident Response (AIR) Team to respond in New York City, and trained disaster workers are providing relief in New York and Washington. Blood donations in inventory are ready to ship to the affected areas and donations will be needed to replenish the nation's supply.

For more information call the Tidewater Chapter of the American Red Cross at 446-7743 or the national organization at 1-800-GIVE-LIFE.

In addition, the United Way of South Hampton Roads has set up a special fund. Individuals can contribute through the
United Way campaign by designating to the "Attack on America Relief Fund" on their pledge cards or they can send a check or money order to the United Way of South Hampton Roads, P.O. Box 41069, Norfolk, VA 23541. The money will go directly to the victims and families affected by this terrible tragedy.
