ALUMNAE STRUT THEIR LADY MONARCH METTLE IN THE WNBA

Several Old Dominion alumnae made their presence felt in the Women's National Basketball Association this season.

Sacramento Monarchs point guard Ticha Penicheiro '98, who led the league in assists at 7.5 per game and ranked 10th in steals, was selected to the All-WNBA second team.

Adrienne Goodson '88 of the Utah Starzz ranked 18th in the WNBA in scoring (12.3) and 12th in double-doubles.

Under coach Anne Donovan '83, Clarisse Machanguana '97 helped her Charlotte Sting squad reach the WNBA finals. Machanguana averaged 5.4 points and 4.0 rebounds for the season.

Mery Andrade '99 of the Cleveland Rockers helped her team to the Eastern Conference regular-season title, averaging 4.8 points and 3.1 assists.
