VICE PRESIDENT BRODERICK NAMED JUDGE FOR PROGRAM
John R. Broderick, vice president for institutional advancement, recently served as a judge for the 2001 U.S. Professors of the Year program, sponsored by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
The competition selects winners in four categories: baccalaureate colleges, community colleges, master's universities and colleges, and doctoral institutions. The winners will be announced at a reception hosted by USA Today in October.
Broderick previously served as a judge in 1998 and 1999.
Before coming to Old Dominion, Broderick was a faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh. He teaches a public relations course each fall at Old Dominion.
