TWO LACROSSE PLAYERS EARN ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICAN HONORS
Two members of the Old Dominion University women's lacrosse squad have been named Academic All-Americans by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.
Senior Dana Wisniewski of Collegeville, Pa., the team's MVP, was third on the squad in scoring with 30 goals and earned first team All-CAA honors. She graduated with a 3.61 grade point average in marketing.
Junior Brooke Thomas of Whiteford, Md., a defender, was a second team All-CAA selection, ranking second on the squad in ground balls with 44. She carries a 3.60 grade point average in childhood education.
The Lady Monarchs ranked 15th nationally in the final IWLCA poll.
