'BLUEPRINTS FOR SOL STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT' CLASSES BEGIN TODAY

Old Dominion University's Darden College of Education will present "Blueprints for SOL Student Achievement," a series of teacher education classes on Virginia's Standards of Learning (SOL) tests, beginning Monday, July 16, at the Virginia Beach Higher Education Center.

Classes will be available in teaching SOL requirements to students in mathematics, reading, science, social studies and the arts, as well as classroom management, discipline and mentoring.

The classes continue through Saturday, July 28.

School divisions are eligible for reduced tuition on a contractural basis with Old Dominion. The Virginia Beach center is located at 1881 Concert Drive adjacent to Tidewater Community College.
