SAILORS TAKE SIXTH AT WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Old Dominion women's sailing squad finished sixth out of 18 teams at the 2001 ICSA Women's Dinghy Championships this week.

The University of Hawaii won the championship, with Connecticut College and Dartmouth finishing second and third, respectively.

The A division team of Sally Barkow (Nashotah, Wisc.) and Cara Gibbons-Neff (Annapolis, Md.) finished fourth, and the B side of Corrie Clement (Metarie, La.), Liz Bower (Fairport, N.Y.) and Debbie Capozzi (Bayport, NY) finished sixth.

The Monarchs will return to action when they compete in the ICSA Team Race, to be held June 3-5 in Boston, Mass.
