BRODERICK NAMED JUDGE FOR PROFESSORS OF THE YEAR PROGRAM
John R. Broderick, vice president for institutional advancement, was recently selected as a judge for the 2001 U.S. Professors of the Year program sponsored by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
The competition selects winners in four categories: baccalaureate colleges, community colleges, master's universities and colleges and doctoral institutions. The winners will be announced at a reception hosted by USA Today in October.
Broderick previously served as a judge in 1998 and 1999.
Before coming to Old Dominion, Broderick was a faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh, where he also served as the institution's student media adviser. He teaches a public relations course each fall at Old Dominion.
