HOUSEHOLD RECOVERY DONATES TO CAREER MANAGEMENT CENTER

Household Recovery, a consumer finance and credit company, recently donated funds to the Old Dominion University Career Management Center. The donation will support the peer counselor program, where student counselors provide technology assistance to other students in career exploration activities.

The grant was made as part of Household's Support of Higher Education program, which provides funding for scholarship programs, career development centers, diversity initiatives and minority assistance grants at universities and colleges across the country.

"The Career Management Center would like to express our sincere appreciation for Household's ongoing support of the peer counselor program," said Suzanne Martin, director of Old Dominion's Career Management Center. "The program has proven to be a very successful and important component of the services provided to Old Dominion students."

Household Recovery is a subsidiary of Household International, a provider of consumer finance, credit card, non-prime auto finance and credit insurance products in the United States, United Kingdom and Canada. In the United States, Household operates under HFC and Beneficial. It is also one of the nation's largest issuers of private-label and general purpose credit cards, including the GM Card and the AFL-CIO's Union Privilege card.
