VIRGINIA BEACH STUDENT ELECTED STUDENT BODY PRESIDENT
Philip L. Newallo II, a senior criminal justice major from Virginia Beach, has been elected student body president at Old Dominion University for the 2001-02.
Newallo, who served as administrative vice president this year, defeated incumbent Mike Arendall, 61 percent to 39 percent, in student government elections held this week.
Maggie Williams, a sophomore from Chesapeake majoring in biology, defeated Jessica Hedlund, 60 percent to 40 percent, for the office of administrative vice president.
Duane Dinio, a sophomore psychology major from Virginia Beach, defeated Larry Woods, 58 percent to 42 percent, in the race for executive vice president.
