"HEARSAY" HOST CATHY LEWIS TO SPEAK AT FRIENDS OF WOMEN'S STUDIES DINNER TONIGHT
Radio talk show host Cathy Lewis will be the featured speaker at the Old Dominion University Friends of Women's Studies annual dinner Monday, April 2. The dinner serves as a membership drive for the group.
Lewis is the host of "HearSay" on public radio station WHRV-FM, part of the midday lineup that has been recognized by National Public Radio for posting the second largest audience growth rate in the nation. In addition to her radio career, Lewis is the founder and president of Lewis Communication Group, a firm specializing in broadcasting, training and media relations.
The focus of her volunteer work is with Old Donation Episcopal Church and the Williams School, where she serves on the board of trustees. She also serves on the board of the Norfolk Forum and is a former board member for Lee's Friends and Children's Harbor.
The dinner will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Hampton/Newport News Room of Webb University Center. The price for dinner is $15 for pasta primavera and $18 for salmon. For students, the cost is $9. For more information or reservations call 683-3823.
