ACCREDITATION COMMITTEE VISIT SET FOR FEBRUARY

The SACS/COC Reaffirmation of Accreditation Committee will visit Old Dominion Feb. 25-28, 2002, according to David R. Hager, vice president for academic affairs.

The committee will be chaired by Charles R. Nash, vice chancellor for academic affairs for the University of Alabama system. In addition to his institutional experience, Nash has served for six years on the Commission on Colleges.

Hager said Old Dominion has requested that at least two members of the Reaffirmation of Accreditation Committee have substantial experience in distance education because of the extensive distance learning activities the university has developed since its last reaffirmation of accreditation in 1992.
