TISSUE TYPING AND BLOOD DRIVES SET FOR FEB. 27
The annual National Marrow Donor Program tissue typing drive will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, in the North Mall of Webb Center. The American Red Cross will also conduct a blood drive during this time.
For the NMDP drive, participants donate two tablespoons of blood, which is sent to a lab to be typed. Participants will be registered with the program until the age of 60. The registry is used to match donors with individuals in need of bone marrow.
The tissue typing is free to all minorities and the first 80 nonminorities. For more information call Beth Lynch at 683-5474.
