SAVAGE ANNOUNCED AS VICE PROVOST FOR DISTANCE LEARNING, EFFECTIVE APRIL 1
President James V. Koch today announced that effective April 1 Anne Raymond-Savage will assume interim leadership responsibility for all of distance learning and TELETECHNET as vice provost for distance learning.
As associate vice president for academic affairs from 1990-99, Savage was responsible for distance learning programs.
Savage will report directly to Provost Jo Ann Gora. Distance Learning will be sited administratively inside Academic Affairs.
She replaces James McLaughlin, who recently accepted a position in the private sector.
According to Koch, Savage's appointment is on an interim basis, and Old Dominion's President-elect Roseann Runte ultimately will make decisions about where distance learning is located inside the University, who its leader will be, the title the leader will assume, and what that individual's responsibilities will be.
