EBONY IMPACT TO HOST WEEK OF PERFORMANCES FEB. 19-24

A week of performances for Black History Month by the Ebony Impact Gospel Choir will culminate with the Third Annual East Coast Gospel Music Festival at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at Old Dominion University's Webb University Center.

Ticket prices are: $5 for general admission in advance; $7 at the door.

The festival begins at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, with "Fun Night" at the Old Dominion Field House. Ticket prices are: $5 for general admission.

The group will sing a program of negro spirituals from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, in the South Mall of Webb University Center. At 7 p.m., the group will present a program titled "The Origins of Negro Spirituals," co-sponsored by the Black Student Alliance in the River Rooms in Webb Center.

An open rehearsal will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, in room 179 of the Diehn Fine and Performing Arts Center.

Ebony Impact will present a program titled "Mind, Body and Soul: Keeping the African-American Body Spiritually Health" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, in the River Rooms of Webb University Center.
