EAST MEETS WEST IN NOV. 3 MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATION

A multimedia presentation, "East Meets West: Landscapes and Literatures," is scheduled for 3-5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, in the Burgess Room of the Batten Arts and Letters Building.

The free program is sponsored by the foreign languages and literatures department. Light refreshments will be served.

"Landscapes have always inspired the literary imagination of their people around the world. In this cultural matinee, faculty members will present and illustrate various aspects of foreign literatures and landscapes through a kaleidoscope of texts and images from Japan and China to Spain and Germany," said Frederick A. Lubich, chair of the foreign languages and
literatures department.
