DAMRON APPOINTED DIRECTOR OF CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR THE COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES

Cheryl T. Samuels, dean of Old Dominion University's College of Health Sciences, has announced the appointment of Amanda Damron as director of continuing education for the college.

A graduate of Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Va., Damron was a member of the workforce development team at Southwest Tennessee Community College before coming to Old Dominion.

She has worked in both private industry and college-based education and training settings. Past clients include St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Trugreen-Chemlawn and Federal Express.

Damron succeeds Shirley Glover who was promoted to associate dean of the College of Health Sciences earlier this year.
