SEXUAL ASSAULT AWARENESS WEEK CONTINUES WITH ACTIVITES, LECTURES AND SELF-DEFENSE CLASS

Old Dominion University is observing Sexual Assault Awareness Week with a variety of activities, lectures, self-defense instruction and movies. Events throughout the week include:

Oct. 19
"A Rose By Any Name: A Multicultural Look at Sexual Assault," 12:30-1:30 p.m., North Mall, Webb Center;
"Men and Women: Examining Sexual Expectation," 7:30-8:30 p.m., Whitehurst Hall.

Oct. 20
"Celebration of Hope," 12-1 p.m., James River Room, Webb Center;
Movie, "Boys Don't Cry," 8-10 p.m., room 101, Mills Godwin Jr. Life Sciences Building.

Oct. 21
Self-Defense for Women, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Women's Center, Webb Center. Cost: $5, includes instruction, manual, kubaton and lunch.
