OLD DOMINION TO HOST SEMINAR ON KOREAN ECONOMICS OCT. 20
In the wake of the June Summit between North and South Korea, The World Affairs Council of Greater Hampton Roads, Old Dominion University and the Korean Economic Institute will host "The Economic Dynamics on the Korean Peninsula" seminar, Friday, Oct. 20.
The seminar will include discussions concerning South Korea's economic recovery and reform prospects, relations between North and South Korea, the economic relations between Korea and the United States, and Korean business prospects in Hampton Roads.
Oh Haeng-kyeom, minister of economic affairs from the Republic of Korea Embassy and Joseph Winder, president of Korean Economic Institute, along with Anne M. Galer, representing the U.S. Department of State, and Joe A. Adams from the Virginia Economic Development Partnership will lead the seminar.
The seminar will begin at 9 a.m. in the Hampton/Newport News Room in Webb University Center. There is a contribution fee of $5 that can be paid at the door. Seating is limited. To register, call (757) 464-0200.
