DOCTORAL STUDENT BEGINS PRESTIGIOUS INTERNSHIP AT HUD
David McClees, a doctoral student in urban services, has been selected as a Presidential Management Intern and will report Oct. 9 to the Department of Housing and Urban Development in Washington, D.C. He will work for the deputy assistant secretary in HUD's Office of Policy Development and Research.
Appointment to the PMI program is regarded as an honor and gives students the opportunity to enter federal service at a high level after completing the internship program and receiving their degree.
McClees, a native of Virginia Beach, received his M.P.A. degree from Old Dominion in 1999.
