ALF MAPP JR., PRESIDENT KOCH TO DISCUSS THEIR BOOKS IN PROGRESS AT FALL FORUM OCT. 29

Professor Emeritus Alf J. Mapp Jr. and President James V. Koch will discuss their books in progress at the Old Dominion University Friends of the Library Fall Forum Sunday, Oct. 29. It is free and open to the public.

Mapp, a nationally known author and historian, also will sign copies of his recent books, including "Thomas Jefferson: A Strange Case of Mistaken Identity"; "Thomas Jefferson: Passionate Pilgrim"; and "Three Golden Ages." A 1961 graduate of Old Dominion, Mapp taught at the university from 1961-92.

Koch will give a preview of his latest book in progress, titled "The Economics of E-Commerce." He also is the author of several books, including "Industrial Organization and Prices," a leading textbook in the discipline, and "Presidential Leadership," which he co-authored.

The Fall Forum will be held at 4 p.m. in room 136 of the Diehn Fine and Performing Arts Center.
