'WENDY WALK' IS OCT. 7 AT LITTLE CREEK N.A.B.

The Wendy Walk, a fund-raising event sponsored by Lady Monarchs basketball coach Wendy Larry to benefit Habitat for Humanity, will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Little Creek Naval Amphibious Base.

Both the South Hampton Roads and Peninsula organizations will participate. Participants should enter through Gate 5. The start and finish of the walk will be at the fire station on Gator Boulevard.

Individuals or teams of 10 can participate with a target goal of $100 per person. If you cannot walk or attend but would like to send a check, please make your check payable to Habitat for Humanity Inc. and mail it to Habitat for Humanity Inc., 109 E. Main Street, Suite 401, Norfolk, Va., 23510.
