STUDENTS CAN RIDE HRT BUSES FREE THROUGH 2000-01 SCHOOL YEAR

Old Dominion University students will be able to ride buses to and from the Norfolk campus free through the 2000-01 school year, thanks to an agreement between Old Dominion parking services and Hampton Roads Transit.

HRT operates buses in Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, Chesapeake and Suffolk.

University faculty and staff must also show a pass allowing them to travel to and from campus for $22 per semester. Passes are available from the university parking services offices at 43rd Street and Elkhorn Avenue. Students can show their I.D. cards to drivers on HRT buses for free admission and faculty and staff must show fare cards purchased at parking services.

For more information, call parking services at 683-4004. For schedules, call HRT at 222-6100.
