OLD DOMINION EXPANDS FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE TO MACARTHUR CENTER
Old Dominion will once again offer a free shuttle bus service to Ghent and the MacArthur Center this school year. Buses will run from campus to the new Norfolk mall 6-11 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Buses will depart from campus every hour on the hour from the Old Dominion Inn and on the half hour
from MacArthur Center. Stops will be made along the way at Powhatan Apartments, Gresham Hall, G.W. Marketplace at 21st Street and Colley Avenue and the Ghent area in front of the 7-11 Store at Colley Avenue and Washington Park.
The run to MacArthur Center should take about 20 minutes. The valet parking area at the mall will be used as
the drop-off and pick-up point.
"If the bus arrives at MacArthur Center early it will wait until the half hour to depart," said James W. Long,
director of parking and transportation.
The shuttle service is available free of charge to students, faculty, staff and visitors to the university.
