VMASC TO HOLD OPEN HOUSE SEPT. 14

The Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center (VMASC) will host an open house from 1 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 14 in celebration of their third year of operation.

The open house will feature 25 modeling and simulation project demonstrations by VMASC industry members, including Citrix Systems, Inc., Compaq, Electronic Systems, Intergraph Federal Systems, NEC Technology, Inc., Onyx Engineering, Inc., Oracle and Sun Microsystems Computer Corporation. Additionally, VMASC will give its own demonstrations on recent projects.

During a 2:30 p.m. ceremony, William Swart, dean of Old Dominion University's College of Engineering and Technology, will introduce R. Bowen Loftin, the university's new director of modeling and simulation programs, and honor Thomas Mastaglio for his service as the founding executive director of VMASC.
